Lidia's Legacy: A Brave Vision Lives On

Lidia wasn’t just a founder she was a force of nature.

Born in South Africa, she went on to build meaningful projects in Angola, Portugal and many other countries, always driven by a deep belief that things could be better. When she looked at education, she saw a system that forced children to adapt to it instead of the other way around. So she decided to create something different: Brave Generation Academy (BGA).

With quiet courage and unwavering conviction, Lidia enrolled her own three children Alex, Titus, and Elena as BGA’s very first students. She didn’t just talk about change. She lived it.

Lidia believed that every learner deserves an education shaped around their unique needs, strengths, dreams and not squeezed into a one-size-fits-all mold. She poured her heart into the daily operations of BGA, inspiring her team, motivating families, and proving that a better way was not only possible, but already happening.

Even while fighting a rare and aggressive cancer, Lidia continued showing up with passion and purpose. 
Lidia left us far too at just 48 years but she kept working tirelessly to the very end to ensure her dream would thrive so that more young people could continue to follow their own paths and change the world.

Today, Lidia’s Legacy is our promise to keep that dream alive.
We want every child with potential and drive to have access to BGA’s innovative, personalized education regardless of their family’s financial situation. Because we don’t know where the next great thinker, leader, artist, or problem-solver will come from. What we do know is that Lidia taught us never to leave talent behind.
