### A New Chapter for Brave Generation: Introducing BGI

Brave Generation has always believed education shouldn't stop at graduation, or start there either. That's why we're launching **BGI (Brave Generation Institute)**: a dedicated initiative for professional, career-focused learning, built for working professionals who want to keep growing.

##### What Is BGI?

BGI is separate from BGA's secondary education programmes, with its own focus: helping adults build in-demand, career-relevant skills through recognised, university-backed credentials. Where BGA is about personalised learning for teens, BGI is about lifelong learning for professionals: two initiatives under the same Brave Generation belief that education should be flexible, relevant, and never one-size-fits-all.

##### Why Professional Certificates Matter Right Now

The case for certification has never been stronger. Certified professionals typically [earn 25 to 40% more than uncertified peers](https://blog.theinterviewguys.com/certifications-for-your-resume-2026/), and workers with professional certifications or licenses see [markedly lower unemployment (around 2.5%, versus 5.6% for those without one)](https://tradecolleges.org/blog/career-guidance/trade-certifications-and-licenses). Employers see the return too: organisations report [close to $18,000 in additional annual value per certified employee](https://go.pearsonvue.com/voc), through stronger performance and better problem-solving. It's also becoming easier to access that value without a traditional degree; a recent industry survey found [85% of HR leaders have dropped degree requirements for many roles](https://bestjobsearchapps.com/articles/en/best-certifications-for-jobs-in-2026-top-picks-for-high-salary-demand-roi), putting more weight on demonstrable, up-to-date skills.

##### Powered by edX: Learn From Harvard, MIT, Google and More

BGI's professional certificates run on **edX**, the online learning platform founded by Harvard and MIT professors. [Since 2012, edX has grown to over 100 million learners across 190+ countries, offering more than 5,300 programmes through 250+ partners](https://www.edx.org/about-us), including Harvard, MIT, Google, IBM, and Microsoft. Course completers are enthusiastic about the experience too: [95% of Professional Certificate graduates say they'd recommend their programme to others](https://www.edx.org/about-us).

##### What's Included

A BGI Professional Certificate membership gives you unlimited access to the full edX course catalogue, built and taught by the same institutions that teach on campus at Harvard, MIT, Google, IBM, and more, for **€99/month**. If you're part of the BGA community, ask us about your discounted rate.

##### Not Just for Professionals: BGA Learners Can Explore Too

We don't believe curiosity should be limited to a curriculum. BGA teens, and their families, are welcome to explore the BGI catalogue as well, whether that's a student with a head start in coding, a passion for business, or a curiosity no traditional subject covers yet. Learning at Brave Generation was never meant to stop at the classroom door.
